Bio
In the beginning ...I was born, raised, and educated in Newfoundland, Canada. During the mid to late nineties, I was a member of the popular St. John's based comedy troupe Cat Fud with Mark Critch, Chad House, and Greg Rex. Following a string of acclaimed self produced shows and appearances on CBC TV, CBC Radio's Madly Off In All Directions, and the makeshift stage at Her Majesty's Penitentiary, the troupe disbanded in 1997 to attempt maturity. Off to the Salt Mines! In the following years performing took a back seat to the day job. I travelled and worked in Alberta, Newfoundland, and Texas, with some trips to the UK thrown in for good measure. After returning from the USA to live at home in Canada, I was eager to begin performing again. Back on the HorseI’ve since written and performed three character driven one man shows (Full Frontal Lobotomy, A Canadian Idle, and Another Night on George Street), and in 2004 I began performing standup comedy on a regular basis. Honing my skills behind the camera as well, I’ve gradually progressed from performing and writing mostly live shows to more “studio” based work. And now ...CBC Radio has been kind – I’ve recently made two appearances on Madly Off in All Directions, been featured on Stand & Deliver, and hosted an episode of So You Think You’re Funny. I can be heard performing standup on both Sirius and XM satellite radio. I've been in some ad campaigns and have experienced every Newfoundlander's dream - being cast in not one but two Nova Scotia tourism commercials. I play a crown prosecutor on the current season of Trailer Park Boys airing on Showcase. Right now, I'm keeping busy writing and doing post on a bunch of studio sketches. And he, uhm, they live happily ever after ...By day I am an engineer in the Oil & Gas sector based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada where I live with my wife Julie and our children; Joey, the happiest most laid back kid in Canada, who joined us in November, 2005, and his little sister Jillian, born in May, 2007. |
